Our °CRYO Arctic chamber is comfortable as it features 100% breathable air. You will be fully submerged into the pleasant cryogenically cool air, but the chamber features an adjustable window. This will ensure maximum efficiency and multiple health and wellness benefits. While many other cryotherapy chambers put you at risk of direct contact with liquid nitrogen, °CRYO Arctic is safe. Frequently asked questions about Whole Body Cryotherapy

Cryochambers are cold, but they are not uncomfortable. The temperatures go down to -110C or -160C, but this will only cause a sensation similar to standing in front of an open fridge. You will find this unique experience to be pleasant and invigorating.

The so-called “cryo temperatures” range between -110C and -160C, and they are achieved with liquid nitrogen. We use the latest and the safest technology to cool the air in our cryo chambers.

Cryotherapy is safe because it is a strictly controlled procedure. You won’t stay inside the chamber for longer than three minutes and this is not enough to get hypothermia.

Your first cryotherapy appointment will last for about 15 to 20 minutes. Before we start, we will take the time to explain the process and help you prepare. The following sessions will take only 5 to 7 minutes.

This depends on how your body will react to cryotherapy. You will most likely feel empowered and energised after the treatment. If you suffer from inflammation or pain, you will notice positive effects that can last for a minimum of 48 hours.

You’ll achieve the optimal result if 90% of your body is directly exposed to sub-zero temperatures. Your skin should be dry and product-free during the treatment, so don’t apply skin lotions before your appointment.

You will be given special cothing for your session which consists of a shocks, gloves, shorts and headband.

There is no specific dress code for this treatment, but it is important to reveal the target areas. At The Recovery Hub, we have robes you can wear if you like, and we recommend that you put on just your underwear (shorts and/or a sports bra).

Your makeup won’t affect the results of our treatment, but make sure to show up with a dry and moisture-free face. Products such as face creams, lotions and foundations are not recommended because they can temper with the products we use.

If you have any piercings below your neck, we will provide band-aids so that you can cover them. You can also protect them with your underwear if possible.

The recommended frequency of cryotherapy sessions depends on the type of treatment and the desired results. We advise most of our clients to book 1-2 appointments per week to improve their overall health and wellbeing or 2-4 sessions if they need to treat inflammations, injuries or chronic pain.

Even after many sessions, your body will never fully adjust to extremely low temperatures, and you can carry on with treatments as long as you want. However, you may notice that the therapy is not as efficient after a while. In this case, we recommend that you take two weeks off and then continue.

Clients under the age of 14 are not allowed to use cryotherapy while those between 15 and 17 years of age can book an appointment if they provide parental consent. We don’t recommend the treatments to patients with high blood pressure or heart and vascular conditions, seizures, Raynaud’s syndrome, blood clots, brain aneurism or pregnancy.

We are not working with insurance companies at the moment but your service provider might be able to offer reimbursement. As an alternative payment method, you can use your health savings account card.

If you have our membership, only you can use it. However, our packages can be shared with other people.
